David J. Nunes

May 5, 1935 — Feb. 8, 2006

Services will be Tuesday for David J. Nunes, 70, of Hayward, who died 
Wednesday at his home.

Born in Oakland, Mr. Nunes lived in Hayward 60 years. He worked 35 years in 
the maintenance department of Castro Valley Unified School District. He loved 
auto racing, NASCAR, and he was a big fan of Jeff Gordon. He enjoyed going to 
car shows, deer hunting and watching the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco 
Giants. His family will miss him.

Mr. Nunes is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly Nunes; children, Bob 
Nunes, and his wife, Cary, of Manteca, Russell Nunes, and his wife, Brenda, of 
Redding, and Paulette King of Hayward; siblings, Ed Nunes of Mountain View, 
Ernest Nunes, Lavern Oliver, Linda Davis and Celeste Marlow, all of Modesto; 
grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda Nunes, of Redding, Trevor Nunes of Manteca, and 
Joshua King of Hayward; many nieces, nephews; and dear friends.

Tuesday’s service will begin at 1 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central 
Ave. Entombment will be in 
Tracy Mausoleum.
