Pamela Jean Nygard-Shenk

July 4, 1961 — March 14, 2006

Services will be Tuesday for Pamela Jean Nygard-Shenk, 44, a Tracy resident 
the past 20 years, died March 14, 2006 at her home.

Mrs. Nygard-Shenk was born in San Francisco. She grew up in Dublin and 
attended Columbia College where she met her husband, Robert J. Shenk. The two 
married in 1982 and settled in Tracy to have a family.

Mrs. Nygard-Shenk will be remembered for living her life to the fullest. She 
had a lifelong love for animals and had a passion for horses. She was an 
experienced rider and loved riding trials with her daughters and friends. She 
will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother who gave up her career to 
become a full-time mom — her children were her joy.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Nygard-Shenk is survived by her husband of 24 years, Robert J. Shenk; 
children, Sarah, Jimmy and Heather Shenk, all of Tracy; parents, Robert and 
Carolyn Nygard, of Dublin; siblings, Karen Nygard of Jamestown and Robert 
Nygard and his wife, Dotty — who was a special friend of Mrs. Nygard-Shenk — 
of Riverbank; nieces, Monique, Erica and Mariah; and nephew, Alex.

Tuesday’s services will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. 
Central Ave. Interment will be private.

Contributions in Mrs. Nygard-Shenk’s name may be sent to the American Cancer 
Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton 95204.
