She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Japan. Ms. Nakagawa came to the U.S. as an infant with her family. She was self- employed as a farmer for most of her life on her family farm, farming grapes, melons and squash. She was a member of the Buddhist Church of Lodi and the Fujinkai. She enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, but especially enjoyed her orchids. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived her sister, Satomi Nakagawa, of Lodi; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Percy, Roy, Fred and Billy Nakagawa; and sister, Tonami Nakagawa. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Buddhist Church, with the Rev. Kenshin Fujimoto officiating. There will be no visitation and committal will be private.
