Audrey Nicholson 
Audrey Anne Nicholson, 74, of Valley Springs and formerly of Lodi, died April 8 
at a San Andreas hospital of natural causes. She was born June 25, 1930, in 
Detroit, Mich., where she was raised.

Mrs. Nicholson moved to Stockton in 1948. She and her family lived in 
Sacramento and Modesto before settling in Lodi in 1981. She resided in Lodi for 
40 years until she moved to Valley Springs three weeks ago. She worked as a 
cook until her retirement, and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. 

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Denham, of Gold Beach, Ore. and Carrie 
Clay, of Valley Springs; sons, Mitchell Blakemore, of Sonora and Russell 
Blakemore, of Valley Springs; sisters, June Christianson, of Grand Rapids, 
Mich., Avis "Nikie" Rowley, of Stockton and Harriet Love, of Oxnard; brothers, 
William Nicholson, of Detroit, Mich., and Donald and Richard Nicholson, both of 
Dearborn, Mich.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Blakemore.

A private memorial service will be held.

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
