Delores “Dee” Olson

Dec. 21, 1936 — Jan. 11, 2006

Services will be private for Delores “Dee” Olson, 69, who died Jan. 11, 2006 
at her Tracy home.

Born in Adera County, Iowa, Mrs. Olson lived in Tracy 28 years. She worked as 
a senior escrow officer 38 years in the Bay Area and ran a day-care center in 
her home for 10 years. 

She was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday 
school for many years. 

She enjoyed arts and crafts and donated supplies and much of her time to the 
Native Daughters of the Golden West, of which she was an honorary member.

Mrs. Olson is survived by her husband of 49 years, Earl Olson of Tracy; son, 
Robert Olson, and his wife, Jennifer, of Tracy; brother, Richard Ray of 
Mexico; and grandchildren, Marissa and Matthew Olson, both of Tracy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Olson; and two sisters, 
Roberta Patterson and Elaine Kelley.

Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.

Contributions in Mrs. Olson’s name may be sent to the American Heart 
Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame 94010; American Lung Association, 
1231 W. Robinhood Drive, Suite A-1, Stockton 95207; or to St. Jude Children’s 
Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
