Mary Frances Ortega

Oct. 4, 1917 — Dec. 28, 2005

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for longtime Tracy resident Mary 
Frances Ortega, 88, who died Dec. 28, 2005 in Modesto.

Mrs. Ortega was born in El Paso, Texas. She moved to Tracy in 1936, and 
resided here 69 years. She married Raymond Ortega in 1936 and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ortega is survived by her children, Theresa Clark, and her husband, 
Clifford, of Forest Grove, Ore., Rachel MacDonald, and her husband, Neil, and 
Raymond Ortega and his wife, Debby, all of Tracy, and John Ortega of Stockton; 
grandchildren, Ron Clark of San Jose, Brian MacDonald, and his wife, Laura, 
and Anthony MacDonald, all of Tracy, Gerry Clark, and his wife, Beth, of 
Denver, Colo., Angela Kasek of Connecticut, Yvonne Alegre, and her husband, 
John, of Escalon, and Heather, Michael and John Raymond Ortega, all of 
Manteca; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Raymond Ortega; and her 
parents, Agapito and Inez Tarango.

Friday’s Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. 
Eaton Ave. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 7 p.m. at Fry Memorial 
Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., immediately followed by the recital of a rosary. 
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
