John M. Thomas 
April 5, 1917 - August 24, 2004



  John M. Thomas, 87, of Linden, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at 
his home. He was born in Castleford, Idaho on April 5, 1917, and was a resident 
of Stockton and Linden for 60 years. Jack retired to farming after working as 
an Elementary School Teacher and Administrator for 31 years for the Stockton 
Unified School District. He was a WWII Veteran, serving as a Navy Corpsman in 
Asia-Pacific. Jack was an avid Musician, who played the piano & guitar, and who 
was also an artist who enjoyed doing ceramics and crafts. He is preceded in 
death by his wife of 60 years, Mary B. Thomas; daughter, Shan Thomas-Dobson; 
and son, Kevin Thomas.
He is the beloved father of Kent J. Thomas, of Elk Grove and Mayna Schwager, of 
Vallejo. Loving grandfather of 9 and great-grand-father of 8.
Friends are invited for a Memorial Service on Friday, September 3, 2004, in the 
Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Ln., Lodi, CA at 
3:00 p.m. Inurnment will be private
