Joseph W. Freitas 
July 27, 1945 - August 31, 2004



Joseph William (Joe) Freitas, 59 of Stockton, passed away on Tuesday, August 
31, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born in Stockton on July 27, 1945, was a 
welder for a steel fabrication company for 30 years and a U.S. Army veteran of 
the Viet Nam War. He was the loving husband for 16 years to Diana Freitas of 
Stockton. Loving father of Lorina (L.J.) Freitas-Taylor of Stockton and Andrea 
(A.J.) Pheil of Yakima, WA. Step-father of Michelle Lingo of Lockeford, Jason 
Trotter of Lodi and Jennifer Trotter of Stockton. Loving son of Erma Freitas 
(Raulino) of Stockton. Brother of John (Mary) Freitas of Stockton, Eddie (Fran) 
Freitas of Lockeford and Raymond (Pam) Freitas of Rio Vista, Madaline Cota of 
San Francisco, Mary Ferrer, Erma (Bill) Gurrola and Geraldina Freitas, all of 
Stockton. Grandfather of 9. 
Uncle of 13 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews and 6 great great 
nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, September 3, 2004, 
at 11:00 a.m. in the Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation hours Thursday 1:00 
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way at 
Beckman Road, Lodi.
