Margaret B. TeWinkle 
June 25, 1912 - August 29, 2004



Margaret B. TeWinkle, 92, a native of Canada, died in Stockton on Sunday, 
August 29, 2004. After many years as a Hospital Nurse, Bette, at age 50, 
returned to school, obtained her Bachelor's Degree and began her career of 
teaching in the LVN program at San Joaquin Delta College. She was dedicated to 
knitting sweaters for the children at the Transitional Learning Center at St. 
Mary's Interfaith Dining Hall, continually meeting her goal of 25 sweaters per 
year. She was also a supporter of various local charities that cared for 
animals and volunteered her time for Friends of the Library. Mrs. TeWinkle, 
wife of the late Ernest TeWinkle, was the loving aunt of Stella Atler of 
Stockton, Paul Hopson of San Bernadino, Paul Hopson and Sally Norris, both of 
Ione and numerous other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister 
Jean Meyer and her brother Robert Beatty, both of Canada.
Honoring Mrs. TeWinkle's wishes, there will not be visitation or services. 
Private committal will be at Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands, CA. Donations 
may be made in her name to the TeWinkle Memorial Scholarship, San Joaquin Delta 
College, attn: Financial Aid Office, 5151 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95207, 
St. Mary's Interfaith Dining Hall, P.O. Box 133, Stockton, CA 95201-0133 or
