Huey T. Thornburg 
January 31, 1936 - August 27, 2004



Huey Tilden Thornburg, 68, born January 31, 1936 in Fanshawe, Oklahoma, passed 
away on August 27, 2004 at U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. 
Mr. Thornburg moved to California in 1947 and settled in the Burson area in 
1974. He was the owner operator of Thornburg and Son Trucking. They did logging 
and long hauling. Mr. Thornburg was preceded in death by his granddaughter, 
Kassidi Robertson; parents, Tony and Minnie Thornburg; brother, Otis "Pete" 
Thornburg and sisters, Sophie, Bobbie, Hazel and Mary.
Huey is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jimmie of Burson and 4 daughters and 
their husbands, Bobbi and Dean Highfill of Valley Springs, Jodi and Mark 
Shively of Clements, Dusti and Rob Robertson, Rusti and Dan Emerson of Avery. 
One son, John and wife Bobbie Thornburg of Valley Springs. He was also blessed 
with 20 grandchildren, Case and wife Sarah Shively, Codi Shively; Kolbi, Paul, 
John and Kharli Robertson; Timini and Talli Highfill; Josh, Jake, Brittani and 
Justyn Thornburg; Ashli and Spencer Currans; Drew, Travis, Levi and Shayni 
Emerson; and one great-granddaughter Paytin Currans. Two sisters, Ola "Tootsie" 
Baldwin and Dixie Ray and one brother, Pate Thornburg. Many neices and nephews 
and a host of friends and loved ones.
Services will be held at the Calvary Bible Church, 18621 N. Hwy 99 in Lodi on 
Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Dean Highfill 
officiating. Burial will be at Glen View Cemetery in Clements following the 
Service.
