Paula E. Filipelli 
April 18, 1945 - September 2, 2004



Paula E. Filipelli passed away at St. Joseph's Medical Center on Thursday, 
September 2, 2004. 
She was born April 18, 1945 in West Covina, CA. She was a loving wife to her 
husband, Joe, for 31 years and he will miss her with all of his heart. She was 
a wonderful sister to her brother, Ron Perkins and wife Marianne of Garden 
Grove, CA. She loved her niece, Julie Jones (Doug) and nephew, Ronnie Perkins 
(Kris) and her five great-nephews, all of Southern California. Paula had a 
passion for her family and friends and enjoyed many good times, filled with 
laughter. She also had a passion for teaching and was a wonderful and creative 
pre-school teacher for Stockton Unified School District for 37 years. She loved 
each of her students and they loved "Mrs. Paula". Paula gave them the gift 
of wisdom and the joy of learning. Her passion for gardening was known by all 
who loved her and every plant thrived under her special care. She loved animals 
and fed and cared for them all. Paula's wonderful cooking skills will always be 
remembered as loving gifts to her family and friends. She was a member of the 
Farm Bureau and St. Michael's Catholic Church. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 
10:00 am. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 5882 N. Ashley Ln., Stockton, CA. 
Visitation will be held at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., 
Stockton, CA, Tuesday, September 7, 2004, 12:00 Noon to 7:00 p.m. Committal: 
San Joaquin Catholic Mausoleum. 
Paula's family asks that no flowers be sent. To honor and remember Paula, 
memorial contributions may be sent to Delta Humane Society, P.O. Box 30908, 
Stockton, CA 95213 or a charity of your choice.
