Dorothy J. Thomas

Dorothy J. Thomas, passed away on September 2, 2004 at her residence in 
Manteca, with her loved ones close by. She was 75 years old. She was born in 
Higgins, Missouri, on May 8, 1929. She moved to California at the age of 8. 
Before moving to Manteca, she lived in Galt for 30 years. Dorothy enjoyed her 
home in Galt, and after retirement, traveling with her husband Roy and the 
family. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy V. Thomas.
Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Edward 
Norbriga, Carol and Rick Hardesty and Patricia and Wade Jones; 5 grandchildren, 
Rhonda Garcia, Shelly Soriano, Sabrina Thomas, Treva Alviso and Sheree' Jones; 
and 14 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family, and all 
who knew her.
There will be a Graveside Service on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at 11:00 
a.m. The graveside will be at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and East Harney 
Ln., Lodi. There will be visitation on Tuesday, September 7, 2004, from 1:00-
8:00 p.m. The visitation will be at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 
Industrial Way, Lodi. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Remembrances may be sent to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., 
Stockton, CA 95204.
