William B. Varni, Jr. 
April 30, 1946 - September 3, 2004



William B. Varni Jr. "Billy", 58, passed away Friday, September 3, 2004 at his 
home in Stockton. He was born in San Francisco on April 30, 1946. William moved 
to Stockton after serving in the Air Force during Vietnam and when his father 
opened Ottos restaurant. In 1976, William B. Varni Jr. and his late brother 
Michael Varni opened Stockton Joe's restaurant, and continued a partnership 
with his nephew Michael Angelo Varni.
William was the beloved son of the late William B. Varni Sr. and LaVerne Varni. 
William enjoyed traveling, singing, good food, and spending time with his loved 
ones. William will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Presentation 6715 
Leesburg Place, Stockton on Thursday, September 9, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. Committal 
is private. Memorial Tributes may be expresses to the St. Mary's Interfaith 
Dining Room P.O. Box 133, Stockton, CA 95201. Wallace Martin in care of 
arrangements.
