Adele Firpo DeNevi 
June 1, 1911 - September 4, 2004



Adele Firpo DeNevi passed away quietly and peacefully on September 4, 2004, in 
Menlo Park, California, at the age of 93. The second of three children to 
Antonio and Margarita Toscanni Firpo, she was born in San Francisco on June 1, 
1911, and was raised with her two brothers, Raymond and Tony, in South 
Stockton. After graduating from Stockton High School in 1929, she soon married 
Aldo DeNevi, another long-time resident, and lived virtually her entire life in 
the area. She bore a daughter, Margaret, who died a few days after birth in 
1935, and two sons, Donald, who resides in Menlo Park and Pebble Beach and 
Gary, who lives with his wife in San Diego. She will be interred in the DeNevi 
Family Plot near her parents, brothers, and daughter in the Stockton Catholic 
Cemetery.
Always devoted to her family, she will be remembered as a loving, cheerful and 
outgoing woman who befriended anyone who came in contact with her, including 
the many transients who knocked on her door for food on south Center Street 
during the late 1940's. Later, in the Morada area, her devotion to stray 
animals and gardens were especially inspiring. We shall not often look upon her 
like again.
Private services have been held in Menlo Park.
