She was a retired Sales Clerk and had worked for Grant's, Mervyn's, and others. Recently she had lived with her daughter, Karen and her husband in Tracy. She had fond memories of working for the Telephone Company as an Overseas Operator during WW II in Eureka. She was happiest being a wife and mom, and her children were at her side when she passed away. She was much loved and will be missed by her family. Mrs. Tavasci passed into the hands of God on Wednesday, and joined her beloved husband of 50 years, Byron Tavasci; and parents, Into and Martha Lindholm. She is survived by Karen (Veit) Johnson of Tracy, Lane (Jill) Tavasci of Elko, NV, Brian (Donna) Tavasci of Livermore, and Jeanne (Rick) DeMotte of Modesto, CA; siblings, Ahti Lindholm of Albany,Oregon, Mildred Birindelli, of Eureka, and Marilyn Peebles of Eureka; grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson of Tracy, Nikko and Isabella Tavasci of Elko, NV, Nicholas Tavasci of Castro Valley, Kristina and Steven Tavasci of Livermore, Michelle Simao of Ceres, and Shera DeMotte of Modesto; and great grandchildren, Anthony Simao of Ceres, Faith Tavasci of San Jose, and Rudy and Jordan DeMotte-Diaz of Modesto. Visitation: Monday, September 13, 2004, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, Tracy. Funeral Service: Monday, September 13, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel.
