Levert Sherman 
Jan. 5, 1932 - September 10, 2004



Levert Sherman, 72, of Stockton, passed away at a local hospital on September 
10, 2004. He was born on January 5, 1932, in Eagle Town, Oklahoma and has lived 
in Stockton for 52 years. Mr. Sherman was a city bus driver for 13 years. He 
was a great fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed camping, golf and loved to travel. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grady B. Sherman and is survived by 
children, Renetta Walker, of Hayward, Donzell Sherman, of Stockton, LaPreal 
Sherman-Morre, of El Cerrito, LaVertta Sherman, of Stockton and Lynea Miller, 
of Stockton; grandchildren, Mia, Laurice, Joseph, Johnathan, Reginald, James 
and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Willie, Gregory and Mekhi; and sister, 
Bessie Lewis, of Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Frisbie-
Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California St. Visitation will be on 
Wednesday from 12:00-7:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. Committal at Cherokee Memorial 
Park in Lodi.
