Elaine G. Mirapaul 
Aug. 24, 1933 - Sept. 9, 2004



Elaine G. Mirapaul, 71, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2004, after a 
brief illness with leukemia. Elaine moved in 1970 to Stockton, where she was 
active in local political campaigns, adult-education programs, and her lifelong 
passion, the arts. A retired marketing consultant, she contributed her skills 
to San Joaquin Ballet, New Dance Co., American Blues Theater, Pacific 
Experience and others. She also was arts editor of the Miracle Mile Caravan 
newspaper. 
Born August 24, 1933 in Trenton, N.J., she is survived by a son, Evan of New 
York City, a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Anne of Evanston, Ill; a 
sister, Shirley Plakcy of Florida; a sister-in-law, Rebecca Globus of N.J.; a 
cousin, Ellie Pitt of N.J.; several nieces and nephews; and many local friends, 
neighbors, and coffee mates. 
Services private. 
Memorial donations may be made to the giver's charity of choice. Rocha's 
Mortuary handled the arrangements.
