Maria L. Sanchez 
Oct. 29, 1919 - Sept. 12, 2004

  Mrs. Maria L. "Nana" Sanchez of Lodi passed away Sunday September 12, 2004 in 
a Lodi hospital at the age of 84. Mrs. Sanchez was born October 29, 1919 in 
Jalisco, Mexico to Christino and Valentina Lozano. Mrs. Sanchez worked for Tri-
Valley Cannery for many years before retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. 
Ann's Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with 
her family. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mr. Juan Sanchez of Lodi; 1 
daughter, Stella and husband Antonio Gemigniani of Stockton; 4 grandchildren, 
Angela Valentina Ruiz of Lodi; Carlo Antonio Gemigniani, John David (JD) 
Gemigniani, Ramon Francisco Ruiz all of Stockton; 7 great grandchildren, Anna 
Marina Gemigniani, Marcellina AnnAlicia Gemignani, Carly Rianne Gemignani, 
Carlo Antonio Gemignani, Jr., Andrew Carlos Gemignani all of Stockton; 2 great 
grandchildren, Issac Antonio Mata and Annamarina Ramirez-Ruiz of Lodi. She was 
preceded in death by a daughter, Annamarina Ruiz-Sanchez in 1986.
A Church Service will be held Friday September 17, 2004, 9:00 am at the St. 
Ann's Catholic Church, followed by interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park 
Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, 7:00 pm at the Lodi Funeral 
Home.
