Ima Helen Ragland 
Feb. 24, 1927 - Sept. 12, 2004



Ima Helen Ragland, of Carson City, Nevada, and a former Stockton and Manteca 
resident, age 77 years, passed away in a Reno, NV hospital on September 12, 
2004. She was born in Hughes, Oklahoma on February 24, 1927.
She moved to Stockton in 1941, and was married to Thomas Norman Ragland on 
September 14, 1942. They resided in San Joaquin County, and following the death 
of her husband on May 25, 2001, she moved to Carson City to be near her family.
She is survived by daughters, Glynda Sue Ragland Comer and Lilace Lejean 
Ragland, both of Carson City, Nevada; a sister, Ellen Motz, of Stockton; 
grandchildren, Brandy Sharelle Cox, of Dayton, Nevada, Susan Tallant, of 
Nebraska, Tommy Rider, of Washington, Lisa McNee and Michael Thomas Ragland, 
both of Carson City; an a handful of great-grandchildren. She enjoyed many 
hobbies, but enjoyed her grandchildren the most.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2004, in the Evergreen 
Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Ln., in Lodi. Chaplain Bill 
Sherrill officiating. Committal will follow in Garden of Trees at Cherokee 
Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 1:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and 
Friday 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 7831 Industrial 
Way, near Beckman Rd., Lodi. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
