Helen K. Akers 
June 7, 1927 - Sept. 17, 2004



Helen K. Akers, of Magalia, CA, aged 77 years, passed away on Friday, September 
17, 2004, in Chico, CA as a result of injuries suffered from an auto accident. 
She was born on June 7, 1927 in Ellis, Missouri to Claude and Lola Bryant. She 
and the family moved to Stockton when she was a young girl. She was raised and 
educated in and lived in Stockton for many years. She resided in Magalia for 
the past 28 years. She actively participated in the Social Order of the 
Beauceant and enjoyed yard sales, sewing, crocheting, cooking, finding bargains 
and spoiling her kids and grandchildren. 
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Cap Akers of Magalia; daughter, 
Jackie Caves and husband, Robert of San Jose; son, Terry Akers and wife, Lizlie 
of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Diane Youngbird of Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, 
Patricia and Stacy Caves, Trent and Easton Akers and four others in Oklahoma; 
seven great-grandchildren and sisters, Marylee Corsi and Ida Mae Stealey. She 
was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cathy Ann Akers and brothers, 
Russell and Stanley Bryant.
Graveside service will be on Thursday, September 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in 
Garden of Trees at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy. 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi. 
Pastor Rob Wilson of Magalia will officiate. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in 
Lodi, in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the 
Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 
95817.
