Helen Marguerite Schurch May 11, 1929 — Sept. 17, 2004 Graveside services will be Friday for Stockton resident Helen Marguerite Schurch, 75, who died Sept. 17 at Beverly Healthcare Center in Stockton. Born and raised in Pleasanton, Ms. Schurch lived in the Stockton area eight years. She attended beauty school in San Francisco and worked as a beautician. She later became a certified nursing assistant and semi-retired after 15 years. Ms. Schurch was always eager to help her neighbors and others. She donated a kidney to her sister, Florence, in 1967. She dearly loved her pet cats, and enjoyed oil painting, swimming and playing bingo. Ms. Schurch is survived by a sister, Mary Campbell of Tracy; nieces Colleen Colenso of Tracy and Cathy Abercrombi of Idaho; and nephews Michael and Eric Soito, both of Idaho, and Danny Campbell of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Signe Schurch; a sister, Florence Soito; and her brother, Ray Schurch. Friday’s services will begin at 1 p.m. at Tracy Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road. Chapel of the Palms Funeral Home, 303 S. California St., in Stockton, is handling arrangements.
