"Bernie" Morgenstern April 22, 1915 - September 22, 2004 Bernard D. "Bernie" Morgenstern, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2004 in Stockton. He was born in Stockton, April 22, 1915. He graduated from Stockton High School and served in the U.S. Army-Air Force during World War II. He married Mabel A. Rishwain on April 16, 1941. He owned his own distribution company for over 40 years. He was always a great mechanic and handyman for family and friends. He enjoyed retirement visiting with family and friends whom he loved very much. He will be deeply missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Tinnie Morgenstern and also by his wife of 48 years, Mabel A. Morgenstern. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Jim Klo of Stockton, daughter and fiance, Joann Solari and Michael Hall of Stockton, son and daughter-in-law, Bernie and Deborah Morgenstern of Stockton; grandchildren, Jacquelynne Klo of Stockton, Jim and Richelle Klo of Paso Robles, Jill Solari of Stockton, Bryan Solari of Stockton, Mark Podesto of Stockton, Jeff and Suzanne Podesto of Stockton, and great- grandchildren, Whitney Klo of Paso Robles and Isabella Podesto of Stockton; sister and brother-in-law, Gertrude and Lawrence Barsi; brother-in-law, Jimmie Rishwain of Stockton; sister-in-law, Mary Rolleri of Stockton and Aline Wychullis of New York; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, September 26, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton. Visitation will be at DeYoung Chapel on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Committal will be Monday, September 27, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
