Charla May "Toddy" Schadeck 
May 8, 1921 - September 23, 2004



Charla May "Toddy" Schadeck, 83, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2004 at a 
Reno, NV care center. She was born May 8, 1921 in Sacramento, CA to Morris and 
Mabel Belmont. She was raised in Tracy, CA where she graduated from Tracy High 
School in 1939. She moved to Manteca, CA, after she married Thomas Schadeck on 
June 16, 1940. Charla was employed by Manteca Unified School District for 25 
years, where she was a Supervising Accountant and Purchasing Agent. She was 
also a member of the Eastern Star and was active in the Senior Bowling League. 
She moved to Fallon, NV in June of 2004. Charla was preceded in death by her 
parents, Morris and Mabel Belmont, and a sister, Mabel Mehring. 
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Schadeck of Fallon, NV; her 
three children, Michael (Delores) Schadeck of San Jose, CA, John Schadeck 
of Willits, CA and Lana (Bus) Scharmann of Fallon, NV; sisters-in-law, Marion 
(Bob) Herzburger of Sonora, CA; Fern Schadeck, of Washington; and brother-in-
law, Roy Mehring of Modesto, CA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Charla is survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at 
Park View Chapel in Manteca. Visitation will precede services at 1:00 p.m. also 
at Park View. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Juvenile Research Fund, c/o 
Shaelyn Scharmann, 240 MacTavish Lane, Belgrade, MT 59714. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Fallon, NV.
