Williamson Dec. 7, 1913 - Sept. 25, 2004 Arthur T. "Art" Williamson, 90, passed away at home Saturday, September 25, 2004. He was born on December 7, 1913 and celebrated 60 blissful years of marriage on December 11, 2003. In his earlier days as a young boy, he worked with his Dad, Albert, harvesting for different ranchers in their fields around Farmington. He studied at Sneider Vocational School, where he learned about heating, cooling and refrigeration. In 1934, he started as an apprentice for Greers Refrigeration Services at 212 E. Miner Avenue, where he learned the trade. He worked at Hickinbotham Bros. Shipyards during the 40's and then at Valley Refrigeration and at All Air in Lodi. He went into business for himself (Art's Heating and Cooling) for several years. In his final years, he was Maintenance Engineer at Medical Arts Blvd., 2420 N. California Street. His lifelong interests included hunting, camping and work, work, work. His hobby was model trains with a beautiful layout at home. Mr. Williamson's Lodge associations and affiliations included Stockton Odd Fellows #11, G. Parker Encampment #3, Charity Lodge #6, Canton-Sac. #1, Amador #17, Jackson, Past Grand of Stockton, #11, Past Grand Inside Sentinel of Grand Encampment, Member of Rainbow Rebekah Lodge #97 and Trustee of the Odd Fellows Hall Board for many years in maintenance. He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris and son, Art, Jr.; one brother; four sisters; four granddaughters; one grandson; four great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews and very dear friends. He was preceded in death by one brother and two stepsons. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton. Visitation: Tuesday at DeYoung's Chapel, 10:00 until 7:00 p.m. Committal will be at Rural Cemetery, 2350 Cemetery Lane, Stockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204 or Three Links Camp c/o Betty Stevens, 302 Park Circle, Marina, CA 93933-2714 or to a charity of your own choosing.
