Jack was born March 25, 1923 in Cuneo, Italy. He immigrated to the United States in 1959, and lived thereafter in the Stockton area. He worked as a janitor, first for Sunbeam Bakery and later for Stockton Unified School District. Jack enjoyed playing bocce at the Waterloo Gun & Bocce Club, working in his yard, and especially time with his family. He had a heart of gold, making friends with everyone with whom he came into contact. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, and especially his five grandchildren, whom he loved with all of his heart. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe and Angela Bozzini; brother, Renzo; son, Joseph; father-in-law, John Jacobs and sister-in- law, Louise Hart. Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ida; his son, John Stie (Lisa); daughter, Jackie Murphy (Kelly); grandchildren, Cassandra, Christopher, Mariella, Gianna and Katia. He is also survived by brothers, Lino (Lillianna) and Bruno (Adrianna) Bozzini of Genova, Italy; brothers-in-law, Peter Jacobs (Mary) and Gerald Hart (Barbara); cousins, Ines Damilano and Mingo Guerrini, and blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter Street, Stockton, on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation: Tuesday, September 28, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, September 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel. Committal: San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Stockton, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
