Ruthie Mae Greggs, 71, passed away Friday, September 24, 2004 in Stockton, CA. 
She was born April 23, 1933 in Dallas County, Massillon, AL. She leaves her 
beloved husband, Johnny Greggs; 4 sons, Haneef Shaheed, Sylvester & Larry 
Griffin and Kenneth Spivey; 3 daughters, Joyce Corbin, Geraldine Olglesby and 
Coretha Keith; 7 sisters, Rosie McGee, Mary Christion, Corean Kelley, Marie 
Thames, Snorah Gaines, Velma Stewart and Barbara Evans; 3 brothers, Eugene 
Gaines, Jr., John E. Gaines and Ralph Gaines; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-
grandchildren and a special niece, LaTanya D. Smith.
Services: Friday, October 1, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 715 
S. Windsor Ave., Stockton. Visitation, Thursday September 30, public, 12:00-
7:00 p.m. and family quiet hour, 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Chapel, 
Stockton. Committal: Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.
