Elizabeth Anne Melera 
Sept. 26, 1961 - October 2, 2004



Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 8, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at Oroville 
Funeral Home for Elizabeth Anne Melera, 43, of Oroville. Elizabeth passed away 
on Saturday, October 2, 2004, at Oroville Hospital. Elizabeth was born on 
September 26, 1961, in Yuma, Arizona to David and Shirley Schmitz. Elizabeth 
had worked in the health care field as a phlebotomist and CNA. She worked with 
special needs adults and loved kids and had operated a day care. She enjoyed 
crocheting and needle point, reading, and movies. She loved animals and she 
loved people and all who touched her were blessed. Elizabeth had also saved 
four people lives with her knowledge and ability to use CPR. 
Survivors include her husband, Steve Melera Jr. or Oroville; father, David 
Schmitz of Florence, Arizona; mother, Shirley Flaigg of Grants Pass, Oregon; 
sister's, Tammie, Lori and Heather; brother's, Rick, Terry, Michael and John; 
grandfather, Kenneth Parker, and her father-in-law, Steve Melera Sr. She was 
preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe.
A visitation will be held on Friday morning, October 8, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Oroville Funeral Home, 1454 Montgomery 
Street in Oroville.
