Laurie Deane Aldana 
Dec. 10, 1944 - Oct. 11, 2004



  Laurie Deane Aldana, 59, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2004, in 
Stockton, CA. She was born December 10, 1944. She was a lifelong resident of 
Stockton. 
She is the dearly beloved mother of Mark Aldana, Stefani Delucchi and Katie 
Aldana; mother-in-law of Jill Aldana and Greg Aldana and grandmother of Lauren 
Aldana, Jacob Aldana, Julia Delucchi and Abigail Delucchi. She is survived by 
her mother, Helen Stefani; her sister, Leslie Risso; brother, Lawrence "Butch" 
Stefani; cousin, Noreen Basso and aunt and uncle Frank and Irene Garavano. Also 
survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 
late husband, Louis Aldana. She loved her family and especially enjoyed time 
with her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family in 
Santa Cruz. She had a desire to see and experience as much of life as she 
could. She will always be remembered for her desire to help others and for her 
commitment to those close to her. If you were her friend or family regardless 
of circumstance, she would be your defender and protector. She taught at Wilson 
School for seventeen years and thought of her students as an extension of her 
own family. 
A Rosary will be recited at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 14, 
2004, at 6:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian 
Burial on Friday, October 15, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the 
Annunciation, Van Buren and Rose, Stockton, CA. Visitation: Wednesday, October 
13, 2004, 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 14, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 
p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California, Stockton, CA. Committal: 
San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilson School - 
Laurie Aldana Play Structure Memorial, 150 East Mendocino Ave., Stockton, CA 
95204.
