She was born on September 27, 1922 in Lodi to Lester C. (Randy) and Isma Randolph. Betty attended local schools and was a graduate of Lodi High School Class of 1940, where she served as Senior Class President. She continued her education at Maude Cornwall Business School in Stockton. Betty spent many years working as a medical transcriber in the office of Doctors Williams, Reiss, Becker, Grady and Freund. She traveled the world visiting six continents and particularly loved Africa and its wildlife. She had a love of all animals. She will be fondly remembered by friends in more than 20 countries around the world. In 1988, she received an award for volunteer of the year for her work with the American Red Cross. She loved spending summers at her cabin at Lake Alpine, surrounded by her family and enjoying the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, former Lodi Fire Chief, Forrest (Epp) Eproson and her parents. Betty is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Randy Lee and Steve Whiting of Lodi. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, who brought her such joy, Steven and wife Julie Whiting of Fresno and Jeff Whiting of San Andreas. Also surviving is her loving brother, Stanley Randolph and wife, Wanda of Stockton; sister-in-law, Evelyn Eproson Bohn of Fresno and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, William and Thelma Eproson Lachenmaier of Shafter. Betty will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her kind, caring, outgoing personality. There will be a Graveside Service Friday, July 2, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park with Chaplain Rich Newman of the Lodi Fire Department officiating. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 747 N.
