Viola May Kirkbride 
October 2, 1918 - July 9, 2004



Viola May Kirkbride, 85, of Fort Bragg, CA passed away July 9, 2004. Viola was 
born October 2, 1918 in Gresham, OR. Mrs. Kirkbride lived in Stockton for 63 
years. She was active in the Delta Mu Alpha Sorority and enjoyed collecting 
antique glass and stained glass which she collected on her Saturday outings to 
garage sales. She also loved to travel all of the United States. She was a 
homemaker for over 60 years. 
She moved to Fort Bragg 3 and half years ago. Viola was a Pink Lady at St. 
Joseph's Medical 
Center for 25 years. 
She is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jack Welsh of Fort 
Bragg; grand-daughter Shannon Welsh, great-grand daughter Amanda Capaul, and 
great-great-grandson Dustin, all of Eureka. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Marlin Kirkbride in 1998.
Services: Wednesday, July 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Wallace-Martin 
Funeral Home, 520 N. Sutter St., Stockton. Visitation: Tuesday, July 13, 2004 
from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Committal at Stockton Rural Cemetery.
