Florilla Bryant 
July 16, 1917 - July 7, 2004



Florilla Bryant, 86 of Sacramento, passed away July 7, 2004. She was born July 
16, 1917 in Stockton, CA. A native of Stockton until 1948, Floss moved between 
Sacramento, Hollister, Fresno, and 
Bakersfield until settling again in Sacramento for the final time in 1960. 
Through these years, Floss 
focused on raising her family and supporting her husband in his 
career with the California Highway Patrol, until his retirement as 
Deputy Commissioner in 1970. In 
recent years she attended Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carmichael; 
and 
enjoyed her bridge clubs. 
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, James A. Bryant in 
1996; her son, James A. Bryant, Jr. in 1958; and her son-in-law, Donald 
Forsgren in 1998. Missing her greatly are her daughters, Merren B. Forsgren of 
Sacramento and Kathlyn A. Ronsheimer and husband Richard of Novato, CA; 
grandchildren, Kathryn Schrumpf and husband Robert of Carmichael, and 
Stephen Forsgren and wife Hilkka of Fresno; and great-grandson, 
David Schrumpf of Carmichael. 
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Our Lady 
of Assumption Catholic Church, 5057 Cottage Way, Carmichael. Private 
Interment. 
In lieu of flowers a memorial may be sent in her name to the Sacramento Food 
Bank, 3333 Third St., Sacramento 95817; Shriners Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd, 
Sacramento, 95817; or to a charity of your choice
