Martin M. Stapleton 
Septerber 28, 1927 - July 12, 2004


Martin M. Stapleton, 76, of Stockton and former long time resident of Chelan, 
WA passed away on July 12, 2004. He was raised in Chelan, WA, attended Chelan 
Schools, and was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University & had been employed 
by Ford Motor Co. for 38 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of 
the American Legion and the Elks Lodge in Stockton.
Loving husband of 56 years of Barbara Stapleton; loving father of Cheryl Ashton 
of Sterling Heights, MI, Patricia Peters of Barstow, CA and Kathy Petrini of 
Santa Rosa, CA. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-
grandchildren. Dear brother of Virginia Tipps and Bill & John Cowden. 
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 
1:00 p.m. at Lafferty & Smith Colonial Chapel, 4321 Sonoma Hwy, Santa Rosa. 
Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Santa Rosa Memorial Park. 
Visitation will be held at the Colonial Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 
on Friday, July 16, 2004. 
Desired donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney or to the Liver 
Foundation.
