Cecchini October 27, 1917 - June 11, 2004 Phyllis G. Cecchini, 86 of Antioch, CA passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2004. Phyllis was born October 27, 1917. She was the loving mother to Ellis Cecchini and Donna Inzerillo of Antioch. She was preceded in death in 2000 by her husband of 64 years, Henry G. Cecchini, and sisters, Louise Papetti and Inez Azevedo. Phyllis was the pillar of the family, a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. Her home was always the "gathering place". She was a very loving, caring and giving person to the entire family. She was an avid golfer for many years and a member of the Woodbridge Country Club in Lodi, CA. Phyllis accompanied her husband on annual trips to trucking conventions at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego for over 20 years. She was also known to keep her "passport" close at hand, as she loved to travel. Her many travels took her to Mexico, Canada, Spain, South America and China. Phyllis was among the first tourist allowed into China after President Nixon negotiated with China to open their country to visitors. Phyllis is also survived by grandchildren, Tab Cecchini & wife, Lori Kimber DeDomenico & husband, Mark, Tim Cecchini & companion, Jane, Frank Inzerillo, Jr. & wife Terri, and Michael Inzerillo, great-grandchildren, Shyla Cecchini & companion, Ramon, Christopher, Tyler & Nicholas Cecchini, Alex & Ashley DeDomenico, Gino, Gianna and Glancarlo Inzerillo, great-great-granddaughter, Savannah Cecchini-Marin, and close friends, Judith McEuen and Carmen Caldara. The Rosary was held June 14 at Brentwood Funeral Home. A Mass celebrating Phyllis' life was held at Most Holy Rosary Church in Antioch, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery on June 15.
