Jesse Allen Carlile 
March 9, 1930 - July 16, 2004



Jesse Allen Carlile, 74 of Stockton, passed away Friday, July 16, 2004. He was 
born March 9, 1930 in Palo Pinto, TX. Jesse was preceded in death by his first 
wife Linda (Walker) Carlile. Jesse was a bus driver for Greyhound Lines for 29 
years. He served in the Army from 1948 - 1949 and was a member of the Greyhound 
Retirees attending weekly breakfast meetings. 
He is survived by his wife Rita Carlile of Stockton, children: Martha Walker of 
Hearne, TX, Debra Booth of Stockton, Laura Austin of Newport, OR, JoAnn Melish 
of Stockton, and Sherill Grayson of Sparks, NV, step-children: Thomas Kennedy 
of San Francisco, Michael Kennedy of San Jose, Laura Kennedy of Los Angeles and 
Claire Kennedy of Los Angeles, 14 grandchildren living, 1 deceased grandchild, 
6 
living great-grandchildren, and 1 deceased great-grandchild.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Stockton Rural 
Cemetery on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at 
DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton on Monday July 19, 
2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Committal at Stockton Rural Cemetery.
