Emil Jacob Frei, Jr. 
April 14, 1932 - July 16, 2004

Emil Frei, 72, Jr. died at home, Friday evening July 16, 2004 in the arms of 
his family. Emil graduated from Lodi High School in 1950. He served in the Navy 
as a Seabee and was honorably discharged when his father had a heart attack to 
help with the Dairy. Emil enjoyed playing cards with his high school buddies 
and every year before Labor Day dove hunting. He also enjoyed camping, fishing 
and deer hunting. He was on a bowling team and had bowled a perfect 300 game 
several times. He was of the Catholic faith. He was born in Salida, CA on 
Kiernan Avenue, which was a dairy at that time. Emil is preceded in death by 
his parents, Emil and Helen Frei; two sisters, Betty Sheridan and Elsie Arata.
Survived by his loving children, Kelly Orvick and Chris Frei his pride and joy. 
He is also survived by 4 cherished grandchildren, Justin Frei, Kelsey Orvick, 
Dallas Orvick and Jacob Orvick; a loving sister, Hazel R. Frei, brother-in-law, 
Nick Arata and many nieces and nephews. 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services where his ashes 
will be placed at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery 
on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. DeYoung Memorial Chapel in charge of the 
arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contri-butions may be made to American Cancer 
Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204 or to charity of your choice.
