Norma Jean Hughes 
October 1, 1930 - July 20, 2004



Norma Jean Hughes, 73, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at her home in Stockton. She 
was born October 1, 1930 to Martin and Minnie Boesch in Blackwell, Oklahoma. 
She graduated from Stockton High School and married Don Hughes in 1948. They 
lived in Stockton for more than 30 years before moving to Amador County in 1976 
and Norma living here until 2001. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran 
Church in Stockton and was active in the Ladies Guild. She attended Faith 
Lutheran Church in Pioneer and Bethel Assembly in Jackson. 
Norma was a member of the Ladies Auxilury at Sutter Amador Hospital 
volunteering and was a past president.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Robert Brennan of 
Stockton; son, Michael Hughes of Lodi; sisters-in-law, Rita Childers and Bette 
Mariano both of Sacramento; grandchildren, Jonathan Hughes of Lodi, Jennifer 
Hughes of Stockton, Terra Johnson of Stockton; great-grandchildren, Natalie, 
Shawn, and Beckham Johnson all of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her 
husband of 45 years, Don Hughes in May 1994.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Daneri Mortuary 
Chapel in Jackson. 
Interment is at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Pine Grove. Memorial Contributions 
may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 2609 E. Hammer Ln., Stockton, CA 95210.

have been entrusted to Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, Ph. 209-223-0793
