Lowell "Bud" Pettit 
June 10, 1923 - July 21, 2004



Lowell "Bud" Pettit, of Stockton, CA, age 81 years, passed away in a local 
convalescent hospital on Wednesday, July 21, 2004.
He was born on June 10, 1923 in Amarillo, Texas and was reared in Colorado and 
southern California. Later, he resided in Arizona and Orland, CA. He was 
employed by Yellow Freight Company as a truck driver for over 30 years before 
retiring. When he retired, he moved to Clear Lake, CA, where he enjoyed 
fishing. He moved to Stockton in 1999. 
Mr. Pettit served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1941-47.
He is survived by his children, Anita Waddell of Iowa, Lowell H. Pettit of 
Chico, CA and Richard G. Pettit of Sky Valley, CA; a sister, Wanda Richison of 
Stockton, CA; a brother, Bobby Freeman of Stockton, CA; his stepmother, Maggie 
Freeman of Stockton, CA and 12 grandchildren.
Private family committal service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi 
with Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, Lodi, in charge of arrangements.
