He was born March 9, 1915. Mr. Esarte moved to Tracy 70 years ago from San Fernando, southern California, and began farming crops such as alfalfa and beans. He worked his farm for 51 years before retiring. He was a member of Tracy Elks Lodge BPOE #2031 and enjoyed playing golf and the card game Mus. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jane Esarte of Tracy; his children, Marlene Cordova and her husband Jean of San Francisco, James Esarte of Sacramento and Dennis Esarte and his wife Celia of Tracy; his sister, Angela Arbeloa of San Francisco; his grandchildren, Martin Esarte and his wife Sherri of Orange County, Dennis Esarte and his wife Leslie of Avondale, AZ, Danielle Cordova-Camou and her husband Alain of So. San Francisco and Nicole Cordova of Elko, NV; his great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hayden Esarte of Avondale, AZ, Eric Camou of So. San Francisco and Matthew and Nicholas Esarte of Orange County; his goddaughter, Stephanie Weber of Bakersfield and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Felix Esarte and Isabel Araquistain. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 West Highland Avenue, Tracy. Committal will follow service at Tracy Public Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road, Tracy. Visitation will be observed, Friday, July 23, 2004 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. Memorial contributions in Mr. Esarte's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
