Ralph was born on June 15, 1941 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Louis and Martha Finch. He spent most of his lifetime living in Stockton, CA and moved to Roseburg 8 years ago to live near his sister. Those who knew him best couldn't help but love him. Ralph was a quiet and soft-spoken man, much a loner. When he struck up a friendship with you, you were his friend for life. Ralph enjoyed his many daily walks in downtown Roseburg and will be missed by all of those who daily waved back to him. Ralph enjoyed his collection of baseball cards, books, talking about the old history days, birds and wildlife of all kinds. His most favorite time was his weekends spent at his sister's home. Ralph enjoyed the quiet times in the country and choosing just the right place to eat meals out with his family. Ralph so much enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and never asked for much. Survivors include his mother, Martha Finch of Roseburg, Oregon; sister, Lou Ann and brother-in-law Jim Osborn of Riddle, Oregon; brother, Richard and sister-in- law Barbara of LaPine, Oregon and nieces and nephews, Shelly Gruver, Bradley Osborn, Lacey Osborn Williams, Brian Finch, Kevin Finch and Melissa Finch.
