Edgar V. Walkington 
April 21, 1920 - July 23, 2004



Edgar Victor Walkington, 84, of Stockton, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2004 
in a local hospital. Born April 21, 1920 in Soldier Summit, UT, he was an 
accomplished Eagle Scout, and was also an Army Air Corps Pilot during World War 
II. He moved with his family to Stockton in 1959 where he continued his career 
as an air traffic controller until his retirement in 1975. After retiring he 
became an avid golfer at Swenson Park and spent many days traveling with his 
wife in their motorhome. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Reva LaDean 
Walkington of Stockton. Father of Phyllis Strother of San Jose, Brad Walkington 
of Stockton and Jennifer Durkin of Carmichael. Grandfather of Valerie Strother 
of Antioch, Melanie Strother of San Jose, Lance Walkington of Stockton, Brianne 
Durkin of Carmichael and Tyler Durkin of Carmichael. Also survived by a number 
of nieces and nephews and cousins. He will be remembered for his strong 
character and exceptional devotion to his family.
Private family memorial services will be held in the Cherokee Memorial Park. 
Memorial contributions to the American Heart Association Gift Processing Dept., 
1710 Gilbreth Rd., Burlingame, CA 94010 are preferred.
