(Murph) Murphy October 24, 1931 - June 26, 2004 Leonard J. (Murph) Murphy, 72, of Stockton, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2004 in a local hospital. Born October 24, 1931 in Pittsfield, MA, he served for 24 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. After being discharged from the Navy, his employment became varied with the last being an event host for special events for 7 years. Murph was a member of the Stockton Moose Lodge #391 and served as governor for 2 years. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Margaret A. Murphy of Stockton. Father of Erin Keener of Stockton and Kevin Murphy of Stockton. Grandfather of Caiden J. Murphy and Brogan Keener both of Stockton. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Murphism No. 247 "Some days peanuts, some days shells." Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, July 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Annunciation, Rose & Van Buren Streets, Stockton.
