He was born on October 17, 1924 in Sinton, Texas. Eduvijen served in the U.S. Army during WWII in England and Germany. He worked as a Butcher for 40 years and has been a resident of Stockton for 30 years. Eduvijen was a member of the American Legion Ed Stewart Post 803 and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking. He was the beloved husband for 51 years of Aminta Montelongo of Stockton, CA. Loving father of Mario Montelongo of Ceres, CA, Marina Trupp of Handford, CA, Marlene Yacap of Redwood City, CA, Minerva Lewis of Sacramento, CA, and Frank Montelongo of Stockton, CA. Dear grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 10. Brother of Ilavia Salinas of Chula Vista, CA and Inez Montelongo of Paramount, CA. Friends are invited for a visitation on Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and to a Funeral Service in the Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy. 99 & Harney Ln., Lodi, CA at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
