Craig Gordon Purdy
Sept. 27, 1920 - July 26, 2004

Gordon Purdy, 83, was born on September 27, 1920, and entered into eternal rest 
on Monday, July 26, 2004 in Placerville, CA. Gordon taught English for over 40 
years to high school students, especially at Edison High School in Stockton, CA 
and El Dorado High School in Placerville, CA. After his retirement from 
teaching in 1980, Gordon volunteered at the El Dorado County Library  and the 
Snowline Hospice in PLacerville. He was preceded in death by his paretns, Mr. 
and Mrs. Richard Purdy. He is survived by one brother and one sister. Per his 
request, there was no service.

In his memory, contributions can be made to the Friends of the Library 
Children's Book Fund, El Dorado County Library, 345 Fair Lane, Placerville, CA 
95667
