Donald Edwin Conklin 
April 8, 1929 - July 27, 2004

Donald Conklin, 75, passed away July 27, 2004 at his summer residence in Weed. 
He was born April 8, 1929 in Visalia, CA. Donald has been a resident of 
Calaveras County for 15 years. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the 
Korean War Infantry. He served as Chaplain in Vietnam, Alaska, and Germany. He 
was a Chaplain with O.H. Close School, Calif. Youth Authority. He was 
affiliated with the Community Covenant Church of San Andreas and served as a 
Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and in music ministries. He was a volunteer 
Chaplain for the Mark Twain - St. Joseph Hospital in San Andreas. Donald played 
the violin with the Hallelujah Orchestra & The Heartstrings and was also in a 
duet with his wife Lois called Hunt & Pick.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Conklin of San Andreas; daughters, Ruth Aguila 
of Stockton, Dianna Craig of Davis; 2 foster daughters, Barbara Roper of FL, 
and Brenda Primer of Ukiah; brothers, Clayton Conklin of Visalia, Harold 
Conklin of French Camp and Ross Conklin of Sacramento. Also survived by 12 
grandchildren.
Services: Saturday, August 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Covenant Church 
of San Andreas. Memorial Contributions may be made to Donald Conklin Memorial 
c/o Community Covenant Church, P.O. Box 810, San Andreas, CA 95249.
