Rosendo Prieto-Ruiz 
March 1, 1925 - July 29, 2004

Rosendo Prieto entered eternal rest at home on July 29, 2004 in the company of 
his family. Mr. Prieto was a construction laborer working for many firms 
throughout the union. His passion was soccer, having been elected to the 
Stockton Soccer Hall of Fame and after his playing days supported the many 
youth and adult leagues in the Stockton area. 
Mr. Prieto is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maria Guadalupe Prieto, 
four daughters, Sonia (Steve) Spatola, Rosalva (Rosie)((Memo)) Ramirez, Sylvia 
Rodriguez, all of Stockton and Gloria Armendariz of Sacramento. Mr. Prieto is 
also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also 
survived by sister Carmen (Jaime) Villalvazo of Stockton and Rachel Vickery of 
Seattle, WA. Preceded in death by sisters Virginia Prieto-Ruiz (Guadalajara, 
Mexico), Rebecca Purio of Stockton.
Visitation and viewing will be held at Cano Funeral Home, 2164 E. Charter Way, 
467-1177 on Monday, August 2, 2004 at 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held, 
Monday, August 2, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Gertrude's Church. A Memorial Mass 
service will be held, Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at St. Gertrude's Church, 1663 E. 
Main St. Stockton, CA at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Stockton Catholic 
Cemetery.
