Mrs. Paul was born in Squire, West Virginia to James and Helen Kinder. She worked as a customer service representative for Blue Shield Of California in Lodi for 11 years. She had also worked as an X-ray Technician and Medical Assistant for many years. Mrs. Paul was a charter member of the Delta Lioness Club and she was an active member of the Lions Organization for the past 25 years. During her time at Lions, Mrs. Paul was the first woman to hold cabinet offices in the district. She won two of the highest awards given by the Lions, the Melvin Jones Award and the Presidential Award twice. She was also on the board of directors for Camp Pacifica for many years, which is a camp for hearing impaired children. Mrs. Paul was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Stockton. Mrs. Paul was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan, and enjoyed traveling and animals. She will be best remembered for her willingness to help others, her generosity with time, and for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her two sons, Victor Paul and wife Linda of Omaha, Nebraska; Scott Paul and wife Jeannette of San Francisco; 1 sister, Linda Jones of Virginia, 2 grandchildren, Stephanie and Jonathon Paul of Omaha, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Nelson Paul in 1996. A memorial service will be held Saturday August 7, 2004, 1:00 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home.
