John L. Ferrero 
Feb. 23, 1919 - Aug. 5, 2004



John L. Ferrero, 85, of Lodi, passed away Thursday morning, August 5th, at his 
home. John was born at Haight Station on February 23rd, 1919, which was near 
Lodi. Mr. Ferrero attended local schools and graduated from Lodi Union High 
School, Class of 1938. He was involved as a vineyardist for much of his life, 
as well as working as a mechanic for Tillie Lewis Cannery prior to retirement. 
Mr. Ferrero served in the U.S. Army from 1942 - 1945 in the 752nd Anti-Aircraft 
Unit in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Mr. Ferrero was a member of Lodi Eagles 
Lodge #848; a life member of the Lodi Italian Club; and a member of S.I.R.S 
#18. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, vegetable gardening and 
travel.
Mr. Ferrero is survived by his wife of 58 years, Angie Ferrero, of Lodi; his 
daughter, Susan Ferrero, of Lodi; his sister, Lucy Ferrero Milla, and her 
husband, Al Milla, Sr., of Fresno; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Violet and 
Ted Leventini, Sr., of Acampo; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Deanna and 
Alex Delu, Jr., of Lodi. Cryptside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in 
the Chapel of the Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, 
1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Monday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Gierhart-Wells & Donahue 
Funeral Home.
