Naomi Evelyn Surplus, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2004. She was born 
and grew up in St. Louis, MO. She was the youngest of 8 children. She graduated 
from Culver Stockton College in Canton, MO in 1942. She taught school for 32 
years at various schools. She was active in The 1st Congregational Church. She 
and her late husband of 52 years, Dr. Ray D. Surplus, were Matron and Patron of 
Eastern Star in Stockton. 
Survivors include daughters, Rayna (Gary) Bohnet, of Lodi, Naray (Mark) 
Eggleston, of Davis; son, Dr. Mahlon D. Surplus, of Stockton; sister, Lorraine 
Bueneman, of St. Louis and 2 grandsons.
Services will be private. 
Remembrances may be made to the charities of your choice.
