John A. Somers, 95, beloved husband of Gertrude Somers for 70 years, passed 
away Saturday, June 26, 2004. Born October 20, 1908 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Loving 
father of John E. Somers and wife Mary of Stockton. Cherished grandfather of 
Jeff and Michelle and 6 great-grandchildren. John worked for 28 years as a Tire 
Salesman for Sears.  He was a member of B.P.O.E. #218 and S.I.R. branch #87. 
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at DeYoung Memorial 
Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. 
Visitation will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, 
10:00 to 7:00 p.m. Commital: Stockton Rural Cemetery.
