Margaret Van Buskirk Loeffelbein 
March 9, 1913 - August 4, 2004



Margaret Van Buskirk Loeffelbein, 91, died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in 
Placerville, California. She was born March 9, 1913 in Lodi, California, 
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Erle Lever Van Buskirk. She was a graduate of 
Lodi Schools and San Jose State College. In 1936, she married Herbert B. 
Loeffelbein, and they moved to Stockton. Margaret taught at Snells Pre-
Kindergarten for 13 years and was active in the Congregational United Church of 
Christ. After 1973, she lived in Shingle Springs, California and was a member 
of El Dorado County Federated Church. She was predeceased by her husband 
Herbert and a son, Howard Ray 
Loeffelbein. 
She is survived by son, Charles Loeffelbein and his wife Ruthie of Shingle 
Springs; grandson, Daniel Loeffelbein and his wife Kimberly Humbert of 
Stockton; granddaughter Greta Loeffelbein or Corvallis, Oregon, and sisters 
Marilyn Moore of Lodi and Helen Gordon of New Jersey.
Remembrances may be made to Federated Church, 1931 Thompson Way, Placerville, 
CA 95667, where services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2004.
